Sensational Nigerian forward, Victor Osimhen, has eventually received his Global Soccer’s Emerging Player of the Year gong.
The Napoli talisman was unable to attend the gala of the award held in Dubai on November 17, 2022. He beat Barcelona star, Gavi and Real Madrid midfielder, Federico Valverde to the award.
In a post on Twitter on Wednesday, the Super Eagles forward said he has received his gong and thanked the organiser for the recognition.
“Just Receive The @Globe_Soccer Award For The Power Horse Emerging Player Of The Year. Thank You For The Recognition,And To Those That Have Been Supporting Me Through The Years. I Appreciate Y’all.GOD Is The Greatest,” he said.
The Globe Soccer Awards aka Dubai d’Or are football awards organised by the European Club Association (ECA) in conjunction with the European Association of Player’s Agents (EFAA) and delivered by the organisation Globe Soccer.
Osimhen currently leads the log of top scorer in Seria A with 10 goals in eleven appearances for league leaders Napoli.
