In a virtual court hearing on Wednesday, the reality star also officially and legally dropped the surname “West.”
Ye, 44, who was not present at the hearing.
The reality TV star and businesswoman applied to be declared legally single nearly three months ago.
Kanye West, her estranged husband, objected to the request.
For the past year, the former couple has been embroiled in a contentious divorce battle.
They have four children and have been married for about eight years.
The judge also made rulings on documents Kanye West filed last month.
He had 3 conditions; two of which the judge denied.
Any right to get reimbursement of money that’s supposed to be divided up will be preserved in case either of them dies (judge granted this)
Kim would not be able to transfer any assets she had in trust (denied)
If Kim remarries she would waive the ‘marital privilege’ meaning the new spouse would not have to testify about communications he had with her (denied)
