Taaooma is a 22 years old comedian, cinematographer and content creator.
Taaooma is her stage name which came from an abbreviation of all her real names- Apaokagi Adedoyin Maryam.
Born to Mr. and Mrs. Aishat Apaokagi, Taaooma is the last born of 5 children. Although she is a Nigerian, she had most of her education in Namibia when her parents moved, however Taaooma returned to Kwara State University, Ilorin, Nigeria where she had her Bachelor’s degree in Tourism and Hospitality.
According to Taaooma, her husband encouraged her to start performing comedy skits.
He also taught her how to use the camera and use video editing software Adobe Premiere Pro when they were dating.
Taaooma plays three major roles in her skits, sometimes she acts all simultaneously.
These are Taaoo (herself), Iya Taaoo (her mother), Baba Taaoo (her father), and Tayo (her brother).
She won The Gage Award as the Best Online Comedian of the year, 2019 as well as the Nigeria 25 under 25 awards as a Social Entrepreneur.
In 2020, she was nominated in the MAYA Awards Africa as the Skit Maker of the Year and Content Creation (Vloggers and YouTubers) in The Future Awards Africa.
