She is a Nigerian actress, script writer and film producer.

She is the CEO of Scene One Film Production.

She was born on August 24, 1977, in Ikorodu, Lagos State.

She is popularly known as Jenifa in her movie series, Jenifa’s diary.

She won the Best Actress Leading Role at Africa Movie Academy Awards 2009.

She won the Best Actress in a Comedy at the Africa Magic Viewers Choice Awards in 2014, 2016, 2017.

Funke has an OND in Mass Communication from Moshood Abiola Polytechnic, Ogun State and a Law degree from the University of Lagos.

She came into the limelight after starring in popular tv series, “I Need to Know ” which aired from 1998-2002.

Her big break came in 2008 when she played the major character in her TV series, Jenifa’s diary.

She has featured, written and produced many Nollywood movies especially Yoruba movies and has many hit movies to her name.

Her movie, ‘Omo Ghetto’ now holds the record of becoming the highest-grossing movie of all time in Nigeria.

She has a lot of endorsement deals with different brands.

She owns an acting school, Scene One School of Drama.

She founded Jenifa’s Foundation, a non-governmental organisation.

She is married with children.
