Instagram is finally online after many hours of sudden shutdown affecting thousands of users across some countries.
The app suddenly gave information like ‘sorry, something went wrong,’ or ‘sorry, couldn’t refresh feed’ when a user tries to reload it.
The unusual information on the application had many flooding into Twitter to complain about the technical issue.

Apparently, countries like the UK, US, Australia, and many more were affected by this unidentified technical issue.
Reacting to this unfortunate topic, a spokesperson for Meta, the parent of Instagram, explained that there was truly a technical issue and it had been resolved.
“Earlier today, a technical issue caused some people to have trouble accessing Instagram. We resolved the issue as quickly as possible for everyone who was impacted.”
Instagram also took to Twitter to apologize for the inconvenience and shared that it was a brief outage and it has been fixed.

Twitter removes verified blue ticks from Davido, Wizkid and other celebs
In other news, Twitter finally removed the blue tick from celebrities’ accounts who failed to pay the subscription amount.
Twitter had announced removing its ‘legacy’ blue tick verification system, prompted by Elon Musk’s controversial decision to change the platform’s verification process.
As a result, several celebrities across Nigeria, including Davido, Wizkid, Burna Boy, and Kate Henshaw, had their accounts unverified.
