Billionaire and businessman, Elon Musk has announced his plans to hire a new Chief executive officer for his social media platform, Twitter.
The businessman who had once conducted an informal poll in December from Twitter users on whether he should step down as the CEO of the platform has now granted the wishes of the masses.
He revealed that he will be replacing himself as the Twitter boss and its newly named X Corporation parent.

Elon Musk revealed this on his official Twitter handle on Thursday night, adding that the new CEO would resume in about six weeks.
He further added that his role will transition to being executive chair & CTO to overseeing product, software & sysops.
According to our research, it is likely Linda Yaccarino, NBCUniversal’s ad sales chief will be appointed as the new CEO after leading the company for several months.

“Excited to announce that I’ve hired a new CEO for X/Twitter. She will be starting in ~6 weeks! My role will transition to being exec chair & CTO, overseeing product, software & sysops.”

In another news, Twitter finally removed the blue tick from celebrities’ accounts who failed to pay the subscription amount.
Twitter had announced the removal of its ‘legacy’ blue tick verification system, prompted by Elon Musk’s controversial decision to change the platform’s verification process.
As a result, several celebrities across Nigeria, including Davido, Wizkid, Burna Boy, and Kate Henshaw, had their accounts unverified.
