A social media user who identified himself as Aku-Nesi Ike (@Makavelli275) tweeted how seeing her friend support Bola Tinubu took away all of her respect.
Ike said that the girl whose name he did not mention was supporting the APC presidential candidate simply as a means of survival.
He also stated that he can no longer bring himself to respect her after finding out that she canvases support for a candidate he does not support.
“I just found out that this girl I respect so much is aggressively campaigning for Tinubu on Facebook. I could have sworn that this girl will never try such because she was a woman of principles. I could not believe my eyes today. Indeed, poverty is a bastard,” he said.
Ike did not provide proof of the claim but he indicated that it was on Facebook that he saw the aggressive campaign.
Here are some of the reactions to the man’s controversial statement:

“See the kind mentality you have, anyone supporting Tinubu is doing so because of poverty. Shame suppose to day catch you sef…Tueh.”
Alvan Obiakor (@AlvanMadeMan) said:
“As grown and exposed as you are, you think everyone supporting APC is being paid. Don’t campaign, keep being disappointed.”

“Firstly, your respect is actually worth nothing, next it is democracy and people have choices. It is a shame you came here to claim your so-called lady friend is deciding based on poverty, you need to check yourself.”
