On Thursday, Mark Zuckerberg launched Instagram Threads, an app made to compete with Twitter. Screenshots from the App Store listing reveal that Threads will operate similarly to Twitter, allowing users to make text-based posts that can be liked, shared, and commented on.
Within just 24 hours of its release, the app has already garnered over 100 million downloads, making it the most popular social networking app, as announced by Zuckerberg.
A Nigerian man on Twitter has criticised Mark Zuckerberg, the owner of Facebook, for allegedly copying Twitter. He pointed out that many of Twitter’s features have been replicated in Zuckerberg’s new rival app.

In another news, On Thursday, Twitter finally removed the blue tick from celebrities’ accounts who failed to pay the subscription amount.
Twitter had announced removing its ‘legacy’ blue tick verification system, prompted by Elon Musk’s controversial decision to change the platform’s verification process.
