Presidential candidate of the Labour Party in the 2023 elections, Peter Obi, has refuted recent reports suggesting that he was engaged in talks with former Vice President Atiku Abubakar and Rabiu Kwankwaso for a potential merger aimed at challenging the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in the 2027 presidential election.
Obi made this clarification while addressing supporters at the party’s rally ahead of the local government elections in Edo State.
Speaking at the event, Obi assured party members that much of what they were hearing about him in recent times were rumors.
