Asisat Lamina Oshoala is a Nigerian professional football & soccer striker.
She was born 9th October, 1994 in Ikorodu, Lagos state.
She started basic football in Mushin, and this was in total defiance to the stand of her parents.
She started her football career at Nigerian Lower Division side FC Robo from 2009 to 2013 before moving to Rivers Angels.
She plays for Spanish side FC Barcelona and captains the Nigerian national team.
She was named BBC Women’s Footballer of the Year in 2015.
She was the first African (and Nigerian) player to score a goal in a UEFA Women’s Champions League final in 2021.
She was also named best player and second top goalscorer with the Super Falcons team who won the 2014 African Women’s Championship.
She was nicknamed “Seedorf” after male footballer Clarence Seedorf.
She has also been referred to as “Superzee” by her teammates.
She was named best player at the 2014 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup.
