Controversial Twitter influencer, Daniel Regha has shaken tables on the microblogging platform after he asserted that Wizkid needs a music mentor.

According to him, the Grammy award-winning singer has a very beautiful voice but he lacks the songwriting skills needed for good music.

Daniel stated that his verse in the just newly released song ‘Blessing’ by DJ Tunez ft Gimba & Wizkid was proof of his words.

He argued that the singer’s verse in the song was ‘offbeat, poor syncopation, and he was recycling his lyrics’

He added that although Wizkid’s voice was top-notch and the music’s instrumental was really good but Wikid’s lyrics weren’t good enough.

“Wizkid needs a music mentor, he’s got the voice but n¤t the songwriting skills. His verses on DJ Tunez’s “Blessings” ft Gimba is proof enough. His first verse was off-beat, poor syncopation, & he’s literally recycl!ng lyrics. The instrumental was really dope though. No offense,” he said.

in other news, Akon shed more light on how Afrobeat music was brought to the limelight and how some Afrobeat musicians were signed by international labels.

In a chat with the BootLeg Kev Podcast, the record producer shared that social media was one of the major tools that brought Afrobeat music to the limelight.

According to him, he signed popular Nigerian singer, Wizkid to his record label in 2008. He met the Nigerian musician when he came to Africa after the world cup.
