In a statement released on Sunday, October 16, and signed by his media assistant, Osho Oluwatosin, Primate Elijah Ayodele of the INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church predicted that the Igbos, who he believes are providing Obi with false support, will desert him.
He prophesied, “Majority of Igbos following Peter Obi are giving him fake support. He has not done his homework properly to win the 2023 presidential election. He needs to re-strategize because it is the Igbos that will betray him in the election. Peter Obi has all it takes to be Nigeria’s president but his people will betray him, they are only there but they will not add value to make him win. It is not money that will make Peter Obi the president, it is only God that can and he needs to seek God’s intervention for him to win.”
He also mentioned that there are plans to frustrate the Peter Obi movement. He then advised him to watch his back ahead of the 2023 presidential election, as money and greed will pose a serious division amongst Obidients.
Recall that earlier this year Primate Ayodele spoke about how Peter Obi was misled into joining the Labour Party. He’d said, “There is no way Peter Obi can contest and win, it’s either he resigns from politics or wastes his money. Better still, he should help Nigerians that are suffering with his resources.” While some may agree to this recent prophecy, a lot of Igbos however believe he’s trying to create confusion in the minds of people.
Chima Chukwu, “Nothing like betrayal in election. Vote who you think is the right candidate. No offence. Obi is not in any agreement with the Igbos or any group. Do your own and leave Igbos alone.”
Another Igbo man, Lawrence said, “No reasonable Igbo man will betray Peter Obi and at least they are now wiser, after what PDP and APC did to the zone.”
“Igbos don’t use godfather in politics, only Abuja can impose on them with military like Uzodimma, if you present qualified candidate in Yoruba better than Obi, they will support the person,” said Chijioke Nwoye.
Uche J Mgbachi, “Pray for the country, and stop causing problems. We have received enough prophecy in this country, and we are still backwards. Sir, kindly tell us who will win the election if you can see the future. You guys should stop all this prophetic problems you cause in this country Biko. It’s becoming annoying.”
