Rangers complete loan move for Juventus’ ex-Arsenal midfielder Aaron Ramsey for the rest of the season; a number of Premier League clubs were considering a move for Ramsey in this window.

Ramsey – who made 83 appearances for Juventus – said: “I am really pleased to be joining a club like Rangers, where there is so much to look forward to between now and May.
The 26-year-old left-back is Newcastle’s fourth arrival of the January transfer window alongside Kieran Trippier, Chris Wood and Bruno Guimaraes.

Newcastle have signed Aston Villa left-back Matt Targett on loan until the end of the season.
Dele Alli has joined Everton on a two-and-a-half-year deal as he looks to reignite his stalling career at Goodison Park; the potential £40m transfer fee will be structured based on performance-related add-ons; Alli leaves Tottenham after seven years at the club.

“I just want to be happy playing football. Working with Lampard, and the great players Everton have got, is a great opportunity for me to do that. I’m excited to go there, show the fans what I can do, and help the club as much as I can.”
Juventus announced on the final day of the January transfer window that they have signed Borussia Mönchengladbach Denis Zakaria for €4.5 million plus another €4.1 million in add-ons to bolster the club’s much-maligned midfield. The 25-year-old Zakaria, a clear-cut defensive midfielder if there ever was one, has put pen to paper on a contract through the 2025-26 season with Juventus, as he comes to Turin following a successful run with Gladbach that started back in 2017.
Everton have signed Donny van de Beek on loan from Manchester United for the rest of the season.

The Netherlands international’s wages will be paid in full by the Toffees, who do not have an option to make his move permanent.
Christian Eriksen returns to the Premier League just seven months after suffering a cardiac arrest while playing for Denmark at Euro 2020; midfielder released by Inter Milan last month because Italian rules do not allow someone to play with an ICD (implantable cardioverter-defibrillator)

The 29-year-old had the ICD fitted after he suffered a cardiac arrest during Denmark’s Euro 2020 match against Finland in Copenhagen. He has completed all the necessary medical checks and is fit to return to football.
Arsenal agree to let Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang join Barcelona on free transfer, 18 months from end of his £350,000-a-week contract; Juventus had hoped to move for striker but could not convince Atletico Madrid to cut short Alvaro Morata’s loan in Italy.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has signed for Barcelona on a free transfer from Arsenal.
Manchester City have completed the signing of Argentina striker Julian Alvarez; City are understood to have paid in the region of £14m; the 21-year-old has five caps for Argentina.

Alvarez has signed a five-and-half-year contract with Pep Guardiola’s side and will remain on loan at River Plate until the summer.
Burnley have signed striker Wout Weghorst from Wolfsburg on Deadline Day for a fee understood to be around £12m.

Weghorst, a 6ft 6in forward who has scored six goals in 18 Bundesliga appearances this season, has signed a three-and-a-half-year deal after completing a medical on Sunday.
Newcastle have completed the signing of centre-back Dan Burn from Brighton for £13m to take their spending above £90m this month.

Burn became Newcastle’s No 1 defensive target after they failed to sign Sven Botman, Diego Carlos & Benoit Badiashile; Brighton rejected two bids before agreeing to a fee of £13m; he is their fifth signing this month after Kieran Trippier, Chris Wood, Bruno Guimaraes and Matt Targett
Tottenham have signed Dejan Kulusevski and Rodrigo Bentancur from Juventus on Deadline Day.

Winger Kulusevski joins on an 18-month loan deal that costs Spurs £8.3m – £2.5m this season and £5.8m next season – while there is an obligation to buy the Sweden international for £29.2m if certain sporting criteria are met.
Bentancur joins the north London club permanently after signing a four-and-a-half-year deal subject to international clearance and a work permit.

The deal for the Uruguay international could cost up to £21.5m with Tottenham paying Juve £15.8m up front, with £5.7m due in potential add-ons.
