Superstar singer and leading Afrobeat icon, Ayo Ibrahim Balogun popularly known as Wizkid, has promised his fans free show in Lagos.
Addressing his teeming legion of fans during a concert on the eve of Christmas, Saturday, December 24, the “Eseence” singer appreciated his fans for their endless show of love.
The multiple-awarding winning singer also used the avenue to debunk fabrication that he would no longer perform shows in Lagos.
“With the kind of love you guys show… I want to make a promise tonight, this is the last time you guys are gonna pay to watch me,” the singer said.
The venue went wild with the excitement from the fans and fun seekers present.
Wizkid rose to fame in Lagos over a decade ago under the tutelage of RnB singer turned manager Bankole Wellington known as Banky W.
The 33-year-old singer has since cemented himself as the biggest Afrobeat export to the West in a grace-filled career spanning years of self -growth and international recognitions.
His recent album, More Love Less Ego, is currently making waves across the world. The singer has been nominated for next Grammy awards, thanks to his stellar contribution to the African music space.
