An incident in which a Nigerian woman called off her wedding with her fiancé who had allegedly lost his job, has sparked controversy online.

However, it was later revealed that the man, his mother, and a friend had staged the job loss as a prank.

The man played the prank on his fiancée to test her loyalty, as his mother had expressed doubts about her suitability for marriage.

I can’t marry without money

He asked her to meet him at a specific location and informed her of his job loss and financial struggles.

She responded angrily and without showing any sort of concern for her husband-to-be who had just lost his job.

The lady stated that she couldn’t marry without money and that her friend’s wedding was expensive.

She also expressed concerns about her soft, clear skin enduring hardship with him and ultimately refused to continue with the wedding.

It was a prank

Her Fiance’s mum, friend, and cameraman revealed themselves, informing the woman that it was all just a prank.

The woman was unaware of the prank and deeply regretted her decision to call off the wedding when she learned the truth.

She panicked and begged for forgiveness, but her pleas were ignored by her fiancé and his mother.

Lady loses traditional marriage  because of hookup 

Meanwhile, a young Nigerian lady agreed to hook up with another guy, not knowing it was a prank from her fiance, who was set to wed her traditionally.

In a Tiktok video posted by a popular skit maker @Sonniaofficial, a young man planned a loyalty test on his intended wife-to-be.

The two intending couples have done their introduction and  were to have their traditional wedding in April.
