Singer, Timaya has been arrested by police, hours after he was accused of injuring a lady with his car at the Ikate area of Lagos on Wednesday.
An Instagram user, Osinubi Omowumi, who said she was the sister of the victim claimed that Timaya injured her sister after she challenged him for hitting her vehicle.
In response to the development, police officers went to the singer’s home and summoned him to the station to answer allegations of causing a serious car accident.
CSP Adekunle Ajisebutu, the police spokesman confirmed the singer’s arrest and stated that he was currently in custody but not detained.
“He is being investigated for a serious motor accident,” he said. He is not imprisoned, but is in our custody.”
