RRS operatives apprehend vandal stealing parts from Third Mainland Bridge |Ikejabird.com

Around 4:30 a.m. on Monday, police operatives from the Rapid Response Squad (RRS) operatives arrested a vandal on Third Mainland Bridge removing metal drain ducts.

The 21 year old identified as Ibrahim Ashafa, was caught during their patrol.

The Lagos State Police Command reported that they found four metal drain ducts, spanners, pliers, rope, a screwdriver, and a wheel spanner in his possession.

CSP Olayinka Egbeyemi, Commander of the Rapid Response Squad (RRS), has ordered that the suspect be taken to court.

He also instructed the operatives to step up their efforts in apprehending infrastructure vandals.

Recall that last week, the Lagos Police Command’s Rapid Response Squad (RRS) apprehended three individuals suspected of cutting off rails on Third Mainland Bridge to sell as scrap.

Meanwhile, the police in Delta State, located in the South-south region of Nigeria, have reported the arrest of “over a hundred gay suspects” who were allegedly involved in a gay wedding ceremony held at a local hotel.

The police found them through an official tweet posted on their Twitter account at approximately 9:06 a.m. on Tuesday.

The suspects are expected to be presented before the public in a parade shortly.
