Qatar 2022: 5 Counties representing Africa and their full team lists

By Akan Anwankwo

Senegal, Tunisia, Cameroon, Ghana and Morocco will be flying Africa’s flag at the Qatar 2022 World Cup which is around the corner.

With calibre of players in the respective teams, it is expected that one of the nations would at least break the jinx of failing to progress beyond the quarter finals.

Only Cameroon in 1990, Senegal in 2002 and Ghana in 2010 have all reached the last eight stages of football’s biggest showpiece.

Senegal will kick start their campaign against the Netherlands as well as playing against Ecuador and hosts, Qatar in Group A.

On the other hand, Tunisia have also been group alongside defending champions France, Denmark and Australia.

It will not be an easy run for Morocco as well, as they will be facing 2018 finalists Croatia, Belgium and Canada.

Cameroon will do battle with favourites Brazil, Switzerland and Serbia in Group G.

And Ghana will be playing in the most difficult group for the competition comprising Portugal, Uruguay and South Korea.
