Following resolve to enforce traffic laws on those driving against traffic, operating in areas prohibited for motorcycles known as okada in Lagos, the Lagos State Police Command has impounded 76 motorbikes on Eko and Akpongbon bridges, Alaka intersection and some areas in the last one week for plying prohibited routes.
The Police Public Relations Officer, Lagos State Command, CSP Adekunle Ajisebutu, said on Thursday that the Commissioner of Police, Hakeem Odumosu, has directed that all the impounded motorbikes be taken to the Lagos State Taskforce for further actions.
