Manchester city coach Pep Guardiola has reacted to Premier League official investigation on the club with a clear statement on where he stands.
The coach stated very clearly that he won’t be leaving the club, adding that Manchester City will eventually be cleared of all 100 charges.
“I am not moving from this seat, I want to stay at Manchester City more than ever — I’m sure,” Guardiola declares.
“Manchester City did not lie to me. Look what happened with UEFA, we did not do anything wrong. Why should I not trust my people? These 19 Premier Leagues have set a precedent. What they [rival PL clubs] have done to us, be careful with that. Many clubs can make suggestions and there are a lot of clubs that can be accused, like we have been accused,” he added.
The multiple Premier league winning coach pointed out that ever since Manchester city became a team to compete with, there has been a series of allegations of this kind.
“I’m fully convinced that we will be innocent — and then what will happen next? Will we stop now? Since Abu Dhabi took over the club, it’s been like that.
“Between 19 Premier League teams or the words of my people, I rely on the words of my people at City.
“Man City proved that we were completely innocent with the UEFA case. Why should I not think right now when there is not an acquisition?” He said.
Manchester city is currently fighting a legal battle that would allow them to continue their impressive season without any hitches. The consequences of losing the legal battle is severe and one of them is that the club may be relegated for at least a year.
