Osimhen sets new record as Lookman, Onuachu, Moffi continue good scoring form

Super Eagles strikers were at their best in Europe in their respective weekend round of matches.

Victor Osimhen came face to face with compatriot Ademola Lookman when Napoli traveled to Atalanta.

Lookman got on the scoresheet from a penalty conceded by Osimhen after handling the ball inside the penalty area.

However, it did not take long before Osimhen responded with a clinical header to make it 1-1.

It was his 32nd Serie A goal making him the highest Nigeria topscorer in Serie A and his eight of the season in the league

Juliano Spalleti’s men had the last laugh as Osimhen turned provider for Eljif Elmas to score the winner as the match ended 2-1 as the side from Naples remained top of the table.

In the Jupiler League, Paul Onuachu produced the performance of the week in Europe after single-handedly helping Club Brugge to a 4-1 win over Charleroi.

The lanky forward scored all four goals for his team to take his tally to 12 goals in 13 matches this season.

Onuachu scored from the spot in the opening ten minutes and doubled the advantage in the 35th.

The 28-year-old netted his hat-trick with 20 minutes left and scored the fourth in stoppage time to become the top marksman in the Belgian league.

Elshwere in France, Terem Moffi put up a good performance but his effort was not enough to help Lorient stop Ligue 1 leaders PSG from winning by 2-1.

Neymar had put the Parisians in the lead in the ninth minute but Moffi equalized in the 53rd. Danilo grabbed the winner for PSG nine minutes from regulation time.
