Nigerian student who won UN award to give away N3 million to small businesses

A Nigerian student identified as Noel Ifeanyi Alumina, studying in the United States filed out N3 million to fund business ideas.

Noel won the 2022 AFS award for young Global citizens, is doing this through his NGO called Boys Champion Foundation.

Through his Boys Champion Foundation, Noel is set to support bright start up ideas.

He wrote: “For me, creating a sustainable, equal and just world is our collective effort, especially as young people. This is why I’ve committed to building my community and strengthening institutions, but also empowering other young people to take entrepreneurial and community actions that drives an equitable, just and fairer world. I do this effortlessly because my most important belief is that investing in young people who take entrepreneurial leadership and community actions for others creates a better world for us all. And I’m glad to lead this initiative through the Boys Champion Foundation.”

Meanwhile, Solace Ojotule, a young Nigerian lady who had a tough childhood earned a masters degree after being awarded a Mastercard Scholarship to study in the UK.

Solace narrated how her father’s family abandoned her and her four sisters after his death, leaving them to go through very difficult times financially because her mother had no male child.

Her mother had a hard time putting them through primary school, and she couldn’t go to secondary school initially because of insufficient funds.
