A Nigerian man has shared an inspiring story of how his dad taught him to never involve himself in fraud and to honestly work for his money.

Taking to the microblogging platform, the young man while responding to a tweet that urged netizens to brag about their dad, the man identified as Uche Alex stated that his father was the reason why he will never be involved in any type of fraud.

According to him, he came from a very poor background and he remembered one day when he was in JSS 1 that he heard his father affirming several times in the middle of the night that he would not ‘dupe anybody to raise his kids and feed his family.”

Uche shared that at that time he had no idea what his father was passing through until the next morning when his dad instructed that he wanted him to drop out of school because he couldn’t afford it.

The young man understoo then and there that it was a tough decision for his father to make but he still chose to stay away from fraud despite being desperate.

He shared that after two years he reused in school and continued his studies. however, that day has never left his mind and he has every intention to never involve himself in fraud and work diligently and honestly for his money.

Bank customers who fell victim to fraudsters in 3 months lose N472m

Menahwile, the Financial Institution Training Centre (FITC) disclosed the losses of bank customers to fraud in the first three months of the year 2023.

The FITC contains members related to the Nigeria Bankers Committee ranging from the Central Bank of Nigeria, the Nigerian Deposit Insurance Corporation, and every licensed bank in the country.

According to their reports, they have been 12,552 cases under review of customers in banks being scammed of their money.
