His post on Twitter sparked reactions after he shared pictures of himself at the airport, and inside the plane at the O’Hare International Airport, Chicago, on Sunday, February 26.

He said he is in America currently because of his academics as he wants to pay attention to his PhD.

His post read: “Back to Base

O’Hare International Airport, Chicago,

Next stop – Cedar Rapids, then Iowa City. Let me face my PhD, whoever you elect, na your body go hear am, no be me. Goodluck Nigeria.”

Finally, it is their problem after voting

His departing message to Nigerians was that they are responsible for who they vote, and should be ready to face the consequences of their choices.

Some netizens based outside the country were not so much in support of his post.

Even though they would like to agree with him, they were concerned about their loved ones and family back in the country.

@CountryCallObey argued: “My thoughts would have aligned with yours, but I always remember that I have my families, network of good friends here. What I’m doing today, I’m not doing it for myself or for PO, but for humanity. I’m typing this response with tears on my eyes.”
