“Marriage doesn’t confer you to be evil” – Aisha Yesufu defends lady who retaliates when mother-in-law slaps her

A heated debate occurred in the social space after a woman confessed to retaliating after her mother-in-law gave her a slap in extension getting the attention of Aisha Yesufu.

The woman identified as Rachel Mel shared that her husband’s mother came to their house for Omugwo (the traditional custom of postpartum care), however, the lady claimed that her mother-in-law came to their house to ruin their marriage.

Rachel shared that an argument ensued between them which caused insult from both of them, the mother-in-law in frustration slapped her and the lady returned it.

She however explained that her sweet marriage has almost come to a shred because her husband is angry at her actions and is insisting on breaking up their marriage.

Taking her plight to social media, many netizens have argued that she was disrespectful and had no right to have slapped her mother-in-law.

Aisha Yesufu,  a Nigerian activist and businesswoman stepped forward to state that she had every right to her actions because she was insulted and hit by the mother-in-law in the first place.

Meanwhile, a Nigerian man decided to throw shame out of the window after he divorced his wife two days after tying the knot with her.

In a narration that was made by Abdullah, a tweep, the man had made this decision because his wife had slapped his mother.

According to him, a fight had ensued between the mother and the wife when the mother-in-law requested a plate of food from the bride.
