In his first 100 days since being sworn in as President of Nigeria on May 29, 2023, President Bola Tinubu undertook several international visits to key countries in Africa, Europe, North America and Asia. 

The visits were aimed at strengthening bilateral relations and encouraging trade and investment partnerships.

Chronological list:

1. Egypt – June 21-23, 2023

Tinubu visited Egypt and held bilateral talks with President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi.  

2. France – June 10-13, 2023  

Tinubu visited France and met with President Emmanuel Macron. 

3. United Kingdom – July 25-27, 2023

Tinubu attended the UK-Africa Investment Summit in London and met with UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson.

4. United States – August 22-26, 2023 

Tinubu made a private visit to the United States, meeting with US politicians and business leaders in Washington DC and New York.

5. South Africa – August 15-17, 2023

Tinubu visited Johannesburg, South Africa for the ANC National Conference and met with President Cyril Ramaphosa.

6. India – September 4, 2023   

Tinubu visited New Delhi, India to attend the G7 Summit, meeting with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Conclusion:

In his first 100 days, President Tinubu was able to undertake several important international visits to key partners and allies of Nigeria. The visits highlighted his commitment to strengthening Nigeria’s engagement with the global community.
