The government of Kogi State has told the governorship candidate of the Social Democratic Party (SDP), Alhaji Murtala Ajaka, to stop saying things that are inciting.

In a statement issued by the state Commissioner for Information, Kingsley Fanwo, the government emphasized its zero tolerance for reckless comments and called for decisive action by security agencies against individuals inciting violence through their words.

The government described Ajaka as a political figure lacking credibility and integrity, stating that Kogi State Governor, Yahaya Bello, had no interest in engaging with him. Fanwo referred to Ajaka as a “political Lilliputian with questionable character” and accused him of indulging in attention-seeking behavior at the expense of the sensibilities of Kogites and Nigerians at large.

Ajaka is spreading falsehood

The government made a statement on Wednesday, and the Commissioner for Information, Kingsley Fanwo, said that Ajaka is spreading lies and trying to make himself seem more important than he is. They think he is trying to divide people and make himself look good, but they know who he really is.

He said:

“It is important to tell Nigerians and the world that Murtala Yakubu Ajaka, the said Governorship candidate of the Social Democratic Party, is on a blisteringly shameful agenda of whipping sentiments, spreading falsehood with reckless abandon so as to put on himself, a garment of importance and create unnecessary air around himself as a contender that he is not” he noted.

Fanwo said that Ajaka is ignorant and doesn’t understand that the governor cares about everyone in the state and wants to keep them safe. They won’t let the state become a place of chaos and lawlessness.

The state government will not succumb

The government also said they won’t listen to Ajaka’s attempts to blame the media or blackmail them. They know the truth, and the media won’t be scared by someone like Ajaka.

He specifically said:

“The State Government will not succumb to the blackmail of the unpopular candidate of the SDP.”

They made it clear that they won’t be controlled or manipulated by Ajaka’s attempts to gain attention. They said the governor is there to protect the people of Kogi State and will continue to do so.
