NEW AFRIKA SHRINE
Afrika shrine was a concert styled hall founded by the late music legend, Fela Kuti. The original shrine was destroyed in a military raid and rebuilt after Fela’s death. Afrika shrine has played host to many dignitaries over the years. It’s the place to be when one is around the Ikeja axis of Lagos. The shrine is described as the freest place on earth, filled with gyrating dancers and … marijuana. Here is the French President Emmanuel Macron partying in the shrine. According to Macron, “what happens in the shrine remains in the shrine.”
