“I will be your servant not leader”: Tinubu Extends Hands of Collaboration to Fellow Contestants

The President-Elect Bola Ahmed Tinubu has stated in his acceptance address that he is ready to work with other participants in the presidential elections.

Tinubu who gave a speech shortly after the INEC Chairman Mahmood Yakubu declared him the winner of 2023 Presidential Election said that he is willing to work with everyone.

“My government is for all. This is a serious mandate and I accept it. This country is one and we can work together to move it forward. I accept this mandate with the hope that I will be your servant and your leader,” he said.

In a keenly contested election, Tinubu emerged as the candidate with the highest numbers of votes which automatically makes him the next Nigerian president.

Atiku Abubakar of the People’s Democratic party came second while Peter Obi of the Labour Party stood at third with over 6 million votes.

Both Labour Party and People’s Democratic party have accused INEC of aiding the All Progressive Party’s candidate Tinubu to victory through election fraud.
