Tribunal rules against Obi, LP’s claim of Tinubu’s US allegations
Meanwhile, Atiku Abubakar from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Peter Obi representing the Labour Party (LP), and the Allied Peoples Movement (APM) have contested President Bola Tinubu’s victory in the 2023 presidential election.
On Wednesday, the Presidential Election Petitions Court delivered a ruling stating that Peter Obi and the LP couldn’t provide evidence to support their claim that President Bola Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress (APC) had been convicted of money laundering in the United States.
The five-member panel, led by Justice Haruna Tsammani, determined that there was no credible record of criminal arrest or conviction against Tinubu as presented by the petitioners, Obi and the LP.
