Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, a frontline runner in the coming 2023 general elections, has finally joined the Buga challenges, sending a clear message to the former Lagos state governor’s oppositions.
In a funny video which is now going viral, the presidential candidate of the ruling party, the All Progressives Congress (APC), was caught on camera vibing to the trending song.
Tinubu, who wore a blue traditional dressing and a wine cap which has his popular”broken chain” logo got people talking when he danced hard at an event appearing to be when the former Lagos state governor went to Chatham House.
Other big political personalities sighted in the video are former Ekiti governor, John Kayode Fayemi, Governor Dave Umahi of Ebonyi state and Governor Nasir El-Rufai of Kaduna satte
Since its release in 2022 by ace singer and song writer, Oluwatobiloba Daniel Anidugbe, better known by his stage name Kizz Daniel, Buga has been a hit across the world with top personalities including President George Weah of Liberia seen recently joining the song’s dance challenge.
According to Boomplay, the song recedntly became the most Shazam song in the world. Buga was also reported to have accumulated 1 million streams within 24 hours of release on Boomplay and peaked in countries such as Nigeria, Ghana, Cameroon, Zimbabwe, Togo, Zambia, DRC, Benin and Sierra Leone.
Tinubu joining the song’s challenge is a validation to the song being one of the biggest hits from Africa over the last decade.
