In response to the current indefinite strike by the National Association of Resident Doctors, the Federal Government has taken a significant step by approving a special allowance of twenty-five thousand nairas (N25,000) for medical and dental doctors serving in federal hospitals, medical centres, and clinics.
This allowance will be provided from the overhead budget, and it is aimed at addressing the striking doctors’ demands.
The Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the national salary and wages commission, Ekpo Nta, announced this in an official statement.
