The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Commissioner of Police, Haruna G. Garba, has cautioned Nigerians against using the command’s emergency numbers to obtain loans.
He revealed that non-state actors have been using these lines for misleading purposes.
In a statement by the command spokesperson, SP Josephine Adeh, obtained by PUNCH on Friday, Garba issued a warning against the perpetrators.

It read, “In the same vein, the CP enjoins non-state actors who have been engaging the Police emergency lines in their mischievous posts, aimed at misleading members of the public and those submitting same to obtain loans to desist from such and only use the emergency lines for its intended purpose as deliberate steps will be taken to arrest and prosecute the purveyors of these illegal acts.”

Nigerian Police Force to investigate, prosecute skitmaker, Cute Abiola for “derogatory portrayal of the police uniform”
Meanwhile, the Nigerian Police Force (NPF) is set to investigate and take legal action against skitmaker, Abdulgafar Abiola, popularly known as Cute Abiola due to his inappropriate use of their uniform in his skits.
This was made known in a statement released on Thursday, by the force PRO, Olumuyiwa Adejobi.
The statement read, “In as much as the law grants Nigerians the right to enjoy their fundamental human rights, the same law prohibits an individual, under whatever guise, from rubbishing the police institution or grossly violating its provisions with regards to the use of uniforms
