Meghan Markle, the Duchess of Sussex and a former actor, has surprised everyone with her genetic background. On a recent episode of her podcast series Archetypes, Megan disclosed that she took a genealogy test to Professor Emily Bernard, Ziwe Fumudoh, and Comedian, Issa Rae.
She shared that the outcome had proven that she is 43% Nigerian. The genealogy analysis was done to confirm her family’s background.
Megan stated, “I had my genealogy test done a couple of years ago and I am 43 percent Nigerian”. She replied that she’s yet to dig deeper when Ziwe enquired about the particular tribe. This new development has stirred both doubts and shock in the minds of Nigerians.
The 41-year-old Duchess also spoke on establishing boundaries and the stereotype of the ‘angry black woman’ on the podcast.
