Cristiano Ronaldo Set To Wear Number 7 Shirt at Manchester United
Manchester United are in communications with the Premier League to be granted their permission to change Edinson Cavani’s No7 shirt so they can give it Cristiano Ronaldo.
Edinson Cavani has been clear he has no issue with giving his number to Ronaldo and it’s a work in progress.
What seems unlikely during the weekend is now clearing, as Ronaldo can now wear the famous number 7 shirt at Manchester United again, following Dan James’ imminent departure to Leeds United.
Cavani would be able to take James’ number 21, leaving Ronaldo with his famous, favourite number 7.
The 36 year old looked set to wear a different shirt number this season after striker Edison Cavani came off the bench during United’s 1-0 win at Wolves on Sunday.
There were speculations that Ronaldo may follow in the footsteps of former United player Wes Brown and wear two shirt numbers this season, in the Premier and Champions League respectively.
