Victor Oyebode popularly known as Boy Alinco has debunked claims that Nollywood movies are responsible for youths’ desire to make quick wealth through rituals.
Boy Alinco in an exclusive interview with ikejabird said, 99 per cent of get-rich-quick mentality comes from music.
He said: “Not just the movies, infact 99.9% craving[for quick wealth] comes from musicals.
“The movies will show you how you can make money but it will also let you know the outcome of such in the long-run. But the musicals will tell you ‘I have to make money…’which means you can do anything to make money.
“Olu maintain sang, “YAHOOZE” and since then it’s been series of yahoo events. So, movies correct the ills even though everyone has already made up their minds on what to do.”
Regarding if an actor or actress can be president of the country, Boy Alinco said: “I doubt it, unless he/she will have to start from the grassroots. You need to have studied how to represent a smaller group in your local assembly before reaching for the larger ones (people are the most difficult being to lead)let alone other things involved in politics.”
Alinco is often careful with ladies who makes advances at him.”I always clear my thoughts off their advance. Some just want to be your friend and nothing more. If you now start making funny moves at them and you are been set up, then you are on your own,” he said.
