APC rally in Bauchi ends abruptly, Buhari leaves amid fear

The All Progressives Congress (APC) rally in Bauchi state has abruptly come to an end over faulty sound system.

The mega rally in the northern state was ended when light went off and efforts to restore it proved abortive.

The rally was holding at the Tafawa Balewa Stadium in the state capital when the incident happened.

Reports claimed the national chairman of the ruling party, Adamu Abdullahi, was the one speaking when the power became faulty.

President Muhammadu Buhari, who was also at the stadium to lead campaign for his party, had to leave with his entourage amid palpable fear.

The APC is eyeing another shot to power with the Bola Ahmed Tinubu/ Kashim Shettima ticket after eight years of President Buhari as the democratically elected leader of the country in 2015.
