Is Ronaldo injured? why Portugal star player will miss Al-Nassr’s next match

Cristiano Ronaldo will be absent from Al-Nassr’s upcoming AFC Champions League match, as confirmed by head coach Luis Castro.

Despite Ronaldo’s impressive performance this season with 21 goals in 22 appearances, including three in continental competitions, he will be taking a break.

It’s important to note that Ronaldo is not dealing with an injury; instead, the decision to rest him comes after a demanding schedule of games.

Castro explained the decision to rest the 38-year-old football legend, emphasizing that Ronaldo is fatigued due to his numerous recent appearances.

While fans may want to see him on the field, it was deemed necessary for him to recuperate.

The coach pointed out that Ronaldo had played a match just 48 hours prior and had even endured 120 minutes of play before that. Al-Nassr, however, has a roster of talented players to rely on.

It’s worth mentioning that in their previous match against Al-Khaleej in the Pro League, Ronaldo contributed by opening the scoring in a 2-0 victory.

In their King Cup of Champions last-16 clash with Al-Ettifaq, the game extended into extra time, with Sadio Mane scoring the decisive goal in the 107th minute.
