Amidst the ongoing construction at Camp Nou, Barcelona has come up with a unique idea to generate revenue. They are reportedly selling pieces of the Camp Nou grass as souvenirs.
In the areas surrounding Camp Nou that have not yet been transformed into construction sites, they are selling grass from those parts.
Barcelona is offering these souvenirs with a legal guarantee that they contain original Camp Nou grass.
Barcelona is not the first to sell their grass
The prices range from €20 to €50 for smaller pieces, and on the online Barcelona shop, fans can purchase larger sections of the pitch, some of which come framed, ranging from €80 to €420.
Interestingly, Relevo notes that Athletic Club previously sold pieces of the San Mamés pitch for €40. Atletico Madrid also capitalized on their old Vicente Calderon pitch, selling sections for €10 to €95 when they moved to the Metropolitano.
