In a recent episode of “The Honest Bunch Podcast,” Bright Okpocha, a popular Nigerian comedian also known as Basketmouth, shared his perspective on his supposed friendship with fellow comedian and actor Ayo Makun, better known as AY.
When asked about his friendship with AY, Basketmouth openly revealed that they have never been friends.
He clarified that they have never hung out or performed together, indicating that there is no close relationship between them.

We are not friends
These remarks came about in response to recent headlines generated by comedian AY’s interview with Chude Jideonwo, in which he claimed that Basketmouth had an issue with him over N30K.
AY also mentioned attending Basketmouth’s wedding but being denied entry, despite their supposed friendship.
However, Basketmouth countered these claims and also revealed that 90% of what AY said during the interview regarding the N30K incident was entirely false.
He added that he did not know AY’s wife was invited to his wedding and was not going to invite AY as they were not friends.

Gospel singer Mercy Chinwo and GUC unfollow each other
In another news, renowned and talented Nigerian gospel singer Mercy Chinwo and minister GUC have gotten many people talking on social media.
The singers, who were friends of each other both offline and online, seem to be having a rift with each other.
The gospel singers have been reported to have unfollowed each other on social media handles which include Instagram.
