The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) following the collapse of EFCC boss, Abdulrasheed Bawa today, has assured the public that he his well and would appear on the screen soon.
The Chairman of Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Abdulrasheed Bawa, was hospitalised after he slumped during a presentation on the National Identity card exercise in Abuja.Bawa, who was speaking on the achievements of the agency, stopped and told the gathering he could not continue the presentation after it was discovered to have become uncomfortable and was assisted to his seat by the Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, Dr. Isa Pantami, and other senior officials at the event.
Bawa who was assisted to his seat slumped and was immediately rushed out of the venue for medical care.
In a statement issued by the commission, it assured Nigerians that Bawa was ‘hale and hearty’ and will soon be back to work.
“The Chairman of the Economic and Financial Commission, EFCC, Abdulrasheed Bawa is hale and hearty. This clarification became necessary following an incident today September 16, 2021 at the Presidential Villa, Abuja where he was giving a goodwill message to the National Identity Day celebration, felt unwell and had to return to his seat.”
“He has since received medical attention and is due back at his desk,” the statement reads.
