Popular Ghanaian actress, Yvonne Nelson has once again made headlines after she came to the social space to deny the words of singer Sarkodie.
Recall that Yvonne Nelson said in her book, “I am not Yvonne Nelson” that Sarkodie impregnated her but told her to terminate the baby.
Responding to her words, the singer released a song on Wednesday, “Try Me (Raw), where he cleared that he was indeed not ready at that time but he told her to keep the baby and she refused.

This statement was made in the first verse of his rap song, “I am not going to sit here and lie we had a thing, first I thought we were cool till I had a hint … You told me you were pregnant and I was the one to be blamed … yes I wasn’t ready but I told you to keep it and you explained that you have to complete your school”. he raps in the first verse of the song,” he said.
Reacting to his words with a series of tweets, Yvonne Nelson shared that he was lying, according to her, Sarkodie didn’t want her o keep the baby because at that moment he had someone he was serious with.
“Insults won’t work Michael. Respect womanhood, I’m happy the world gets to see how you are playing this and the real you. Young women get to learn from this. You would get applause for a rap. still doesn’t change the TRUTH”
“In my book, I narrated how you got me pregnant, How you couldn’t wait for me to get rid of it. How do you DROVE me to have an abortion? As usual, you want to use rap to rubbish a pain a young woman felt. We both have daughters, let’s see what life throws at them”
“Michael, you claim I was desperate to abort because I needed to complete school. In 2010 when I became pregnant, I had completed the university. Anybody can verify this. I wasn’t in school and you know it. If you want to lie, find a logical lie”
“I was pregnant at the time I launched my glaucoma foundation, around October 2010. I graduated from Central University in Oct. 2010. It was my final year, but I’d completed my course work months before the October graduation and my pregnancy. I was only waiting for my certificate,” she penned down.

Meanwhile, Sarkodie released a new track called ‘Try Me ,’ where he shares his side of the story regarding his involvement with Yvonne Nelson and the controversial abortion issue.
Ghanaian actress Yvonne Nelson recently released her book titled ‘I Am Not Yvonne,’ in which she called out Ghanaian rapper Sarkodie for impregnating her and not taking responsibility.
In the song’s first verse, Sarkodie claims that he actually asked Yvonne Nelson to keep the pregnancy, even though he wasn’t ready to be a father.
