Social media users have praised a Nigerian man identified as Timothy for his exceptional honesty and display of selfless Nigerian spirit.
According to a video now going viral which was shared by ace actress Kate Henshaw, Timothy, who was a mechanic, willingly returned a huge amount of money mistakenly sent to his account.
A GTB bank staff had transferred N10.8M naira to the mechanic in what appears to be a process in error.
Instead of squandering the money, Timothy reported himself to the bank to discuss the transfer error with the bank management.
His honesty got the bank staff thunderstruck, and he praised the mechanic for his goodwill. He also enjoyed people to give work to the mechanic.
Nigerians have been reacting to the video after it was shared by the Nollywood screen diva.
“God bless Mr Timothy, who returned N10.8M naira that was mistakenly transferred to him. You will not lack favour, peace, and long life,” Henshaw wrote.
