Popular Afrobeat sensation David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, paid a touching tribute to his colleague Wizkid, who recently lost his mother. 

The emotional message was delivered during Davido’s performance at the AfroNation Festival in Detroit, an event that Wizkid was also scheduled to perform at.

Davido also shared his heartfelt support and condolences with Wizkid as he mourned the passing of his mother.

He has also lost many people 

Speaking with admiration, Davido explained Wizkid’s significant contributions to the Nigerian music industry, emphasizing that his legacy would last forever.

Davido knows how it feels to lose people you care about, he talked about how he felt when he lost his mother, which was a long time ago, which shows that he understands and stands with him during this tough time.

He further explained that whatsoever Wizkid has done, he has surely made his mother very proud of him.

Just in: Wizkid loses mum

Meanwhile, Nigerian musician Ayodeji Balogun, popularly known as Wizkid, has sadly lost his mother. Mrs. Jane Dolapo Balogun passed away at approximately 1:30 am on Friday.

Wizkid’s longtime manager, Sunday Aare, confirmed the news, stating that Mrs. Balogun passed away in the early hours of Friday.

She leaves behind two other children, Yetunde Balogun and Lade Balogun. Further details will be provided at a later time.
