The Guinness World Record (GWR) has awarded a woman from Aloha, Oregon, USA identified as Elisabeth Anderson-Sierra for the largest donation of breastmilk by an individual.
Taking to Twitter, GWR introduced the mother, Elisabeth as she shared her struggle as a woman whose breastmilk never stops.
Apparently, she produces more prolactin (the hormone in women responsible for breast milk production during and after childbirth) than any other woman.
This means that Elisabeth produces more breastmilk than she needs, hence her decision to donate to mothers who for some reason can’t feed their babies.
She donated her breastmilk on February 20, 2015, to June 20, 2018, leaving the GWR certifying that she is the holder for the largest donation of breastmilk.
“Elizabeth set the record for the largest donation of breastmilk by an individual by donating 1,599.68 litres to a milk bank between 20 February 2015 and 20 June 2018. Over the past nine years, Elisabeth has donated to local families and recipients worldwide and estimates the total amount of breastmilk donated to be over 350,000 ounces,” the GWR team said.
Elisabeth in a chat with the team shared that there were several medical ways for her to stop her breastmilk, One of the options available to me is using, medication to combat the prolactin hormone that my body is overproducing” she said.

In other news, the Guinness World Record (GWR) set tongues wagging after revealing an official instruction of what it takes to set and break a new record.
Taking to their official Twitter account, the international body stressed how important it was for an individual or group attempting to break or set a record to get confirmation from them first before going ahead.
“Polite reminder that you should probably have your world record title confirmed by our team before attempting it,” they stated as they also added an attachment of their step to step guidelines.
