Popular Nigerian singer Burna boy has explained why he was not vocal or openly support any candidate in the 2023 election.
The Grammy award winner has always been politically inclined hence the reason for the supprise among people about the singer’s silence.
Eventually, the two time Grammy award nominee disclosed that he was not interested in any of the candidates.
“I don’t know why it’s such a big deal to some Nigerians that I’ve not been vocal about the elections,” he wrote.
“Personally I don’t have a candidate that I believe in. I’ve never supported any political party or candidate in my life because I don’t want to make you vote and then blame me when the person f**ks up as usual. That being said, I hope all votes count and the best man wins.”
“Let Nigeria decide o! #inecnigeria. No try any result magic,” he added.
Meanwhile, IkejaBird earlier reported that Burna boy missed out on his 2023 Grammy Award second appearance failing to win the Best Global Music Award that he won in previous years.
Wizkid did not make the highly prestigious award nomination this year but released his fifth album More Love, Less Ego.
On the other hand, Tems became the first female Nigerian singer to win the Grammy award for her contribution to the song “Wait for U” which also has a contribution from Future and Drake.
