Cristiano Ronaldo’s anticipated first debut for his new club Al Nassr will be delayed more than expected.
The former Manchester United player will be serving a two match ban for hitting the phone of a fan with a ball in a match against Everton in October.
According to the English Football Association, the ban still applies even though he is no longer playing in Europe.
Ronaldo was announced last week as Al Nassr newest signing for a record fee of £200 million, instantly making him the highest paid football player.
According to SuperSport, Ronaldo has not been registered because the club has exhausted its cap for foreign players.
IkejaBird gathered that the Saudi club will most likely remove one foreign player who is not a regular starter to accommodate the star player.
Ronaldo may eventually play his first match in an Al Nassr shirt this month after serving his two match ban.
IkejaBird had earlier published a report that indicated that fans are excited to have the Champions league highest goal scorer.
Ronaldo has also expressed his joy for joining the club, admitting that so many clubs in Europe wanted him but he turned them down to move to Saudi Arabia.
