Folashade Tinubu-Ojo, the daughter of the Newly sworn in president of Nigeria proclaimed herself as the president of all market men and women in Nigeria.

In a roundtable news broadcast with AriseTV, the story was replayed and analysed in details.

She was so excited about it she went ahead to add it on her official twitter page bio when her father was sworn in as president.

In 2013, Folashade was crowned Iyaloja of Lagos and she was said to have inherited the title from her paternal grandmother, Alhaja Mogaji.

Folashade is reportedly seeking support from jerbfathers administration to achieve economic growth especially at the grassroot level.

She stated that a country can only move forward with the combined effort of everyone in the country and she will not relent in her efforts to ensure that the promises made by the government are kept.

Is there now an office of the first daughter of the president?

A short while after she uploaded this self-proclaimed office in her bio, she deleted it completely.

Many people were of the opinion that there were more pressing matters in the country and Folashade shouldn’t have tried to usurp authority that wasn’t given to her.

Another person stated categorically that the president should call his family to order and not allow them to abuse authority.

Meanwhile, shortly after Nigeria’s new President, Bola Tinubu, announced the removal of fuel subsidy, long queues reappeared at petrol stations in major cities, particularly in Lagos. Some stations even began closing their pumps.

Motorists flocked to Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) stations in Ikeja and Alausa, leading to overcrowding as people rushed to purchase fuel. 

Many parts of Lagos experienced large queues at NPC stations, which is uncommon, especially on a public holiday.
