A Nigerian man has left many people laughing on social media after he shared one of his embarrassing stories about when he went out on a date.

In response to a Tweet that asked Tweep what scares them the most, Alabi Lawrenz, a user of the microblogging platform shared his unforgettable ordeal.

According to him, he once wanted to impress a lady and asked her out on a date. The young woman agreed and they both went to a popular fast-food joint in Benin.

However, things did not go well for him on that day when he bought the young lady ice cream and meat pie but unfortunately realized that he was short of funds.

Alabi explained that he was supposed to pay N2,500 and he had the exact amount in his account but while they were ordering he forgot to leave room for the charges that were required.

The heartbroken loverboy realized that he can’t be debited because of the other charges and the lady looked at him like a dirty tout and that was how he embarrassed himself.

Alabi shared that the unforgettable experience taught him a lesson which was to work hard and have enough so he would never be gazed at as a tout.

When asked by a Tweep how he settled the bill that day, he replied that one of his cousins came through for him but the devastating ordeal will never leave his mind.
