It is caused when some immune cells found under the skin react to the water they are exposed to during bath time.
“I thought it was how I was born”
Unfortunately, the cause of this cellular reaction is still not very clear, as even doctors and other health workers continue to study it.
This condition doesn’t mean you are abnormal or that something serious is happening to you.
However, there are a few things you can do to lessen the itching – bath with warm water, avoid use of hard sponges, put a little soda water or oil in bathing water, and moisturize your body immediately after bathing.
Netizens reacted to the video:
Doris Ameh: “My solution was to stop using sponge to bath, my hand is my sponge. I only use sponge on my armpit, from my knee to my feet, sometimes my back with some important corners.”
Ife Oluwa: “Exactly that’s why I use drugs to keep it low and decided not to use sponge again because if I do i will use 1hr and scratch my body”
Zarah Precious John: “I know all this things but Warm water doesn’t work for me,only hot water does.while using hot water I use hard sponge. And if u do mistake use Deltol or cold water your own don finish he that”.
